Things You Didn't Know You Could Make in the Crock Pot Slow Cooker

It's not just a glorified pot roast machine! You can make SO much in the crockpot slow cooker!

I like to think of it as an "easy bake oven" for grownups.

Have fun! Play! Life is too short to follow all the rules, anyway! :-)

Did you know you could make all these things in the crockpot? I like to try just about everything I can think of, at least once, in the slow cooker.

Mostly I have good success. Sometimes, though, some things are really better left to other cooking methods. These are the flops I've had along the way....

spoiler alert: don't try to make hardboiled eggs!!  ;-)

I like to melt down old candles to make "new" ones, and it works for the old broken crayons, too! Put in disposable muffin tins and watch them melt before your eyes. Super fun craft on a snowy or rainy day.

Shown in the above graphic:

candles
shrinky dinks
hot dogs
yogurt
crayons
baby food
creme brulee
caramel apples
dulce de leche
tamales
playdough

Things you didn't know you could make in the crockpot: yogurt, playdough, crayons, candles, tamales, baby food, cheesecake, creme brulee. This list is a gold mine!

honorable mentions:

gyro
falafel
dolmas
cheesecake
air freshener
foot bath
Christmas ornaments
glycerin soap

Have Fun!! Happy Slow Cooking!!

if you have any other ideas I should try, let me know!
