First I would like to say thank you for puting forth so much effort and being willing to share your work with the rest of us.
I noticed that you have several GLUTEN FREE recipes and would like to know if you have any allergies to gluten. My Mom has this problem and only recently discovered exactly what was making her sick and is having a hard time finding recipes. She's so sxcited about your dough recipe you had with your Apple Dumplings and can't wait to try it.

I LOVE this blog- THANKYOU!!!! The gluten free recipes and ideas are great,I'm used to adjusting ingredients for our needs, woohoo! I'm ready to crockpot!
September 4, 2008 at 5:34 AM
Hey Steph,
Thought you might like some good news if you travel. I have been informed that Winn Dixie Has a huge Gluten free section.I had tears in my eyes as my boys were shrieking at all the Gluten free choices. I Wanted to give you my Pork Recipe. Take a Boston Butt 6 pounds or so. Take a half a cup of Tahini and 1/3 a cup of stone ground mustard and just lay it on the top and let some down the sides. It should be very dry pasty but I cook the Pork on Low 8 to 10 without water. Pork retains water. This is good served withn a side of black beans and crockpotted rice. Making a side of red wine vinegar marinated onions. And it's very Cuban. This pork translates well into bbq pork as leftovers. Good Luck

Hi I'm joining this blog from London England. Just got a crockpot for christmas and go on about is so much at work that one of my collegues found me this blog site - loving it. Just one questions - can someone tell me how much Red Wine Vinegar to put in Obama's Family Chilli - not sure what the measurement "T" is. Do hope someone can get back to me before tomorrow morning UK time when I need to turn the pot on and go to work! Many thanks

I recently moved into my rv and found, much to my annoyance, that my oven will not work. I posted a question on another popular recipe website that I was thinking about purchasing a crockpot. One lady told me about your website and I am amazed at what all one can do! Your site is amazing and I hope you never stop experimenting and never stop posting...thank you so much!

I am a newlywed and am new at the whole cooking thing. I also have a job, go to school, and babysit so cooking is not high on my priority lists! I feel bad for not cooking for my husband very much but now that I found your site you have made me and my husband very happy!!! Ha
November 10, 2009 at 6:44 AM
I must admit, you are not alone in your obsession. Its the standing joke daily when my family asks whats cooking in the crockpot today. I even made xmas dinner in the crockpot this past year. Everyone raved about how delicious it was and best of all I was able to actually visit with my guests as opposed to years past where I was a slave to the stove. I really enjoyed reading through your recipes and thank you for sharing them. I can't wait to try some of them!!

I just found your blog and am now telling EVERYONE that I know. These are great!
September 19, 2010 at 10:04 AM
When I found your blog, I did a happy dance. I always loved my crockpot but found that I didn't like a lot of the recipes that came with it. I also wasn't impressed with some of the recipes I found on other sites. But, your recipes are flavorful, unique and not intimidating for a rather novice cook like me. Thank you!

I have a TON of bookmarks of all my favorite crockpot lady recipes and came here looking for one I thought for sure you would have - Spaghetti Sauce!
What, no spaghetti sauce recipe?
I guess I could just pick one off the internet and throw it in the crockpot, but I thought for sure you would have a tried and true recipe for me!
I'll keep checking back just in case you get inspired to post one. :D

December 7, 2011 at 11:16 AM
W-O-W! FINALLY a website I can use! I typed in google searches for "cooking for one" and would either end up with college recipes or extremely complicated 17 ingredients ideas. I found this blog through reading comments on comments on comments in a random cooking website (I don't even remember the source). I'm bookmarking this so I can come back. I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow and am actually excited! Crockpot here I come :)

I was just looking through your table of contents and wondering if there might be a section for stuff your kids liked or "kids favorites" or something. I've got a toddler and that section sure might be useful for me.
Thanks for all these great recipes, I've been trying out one or two of them per week.
