Good Morning America, and other announcements

Set your DVRs! I'm going to be on Good Morning America on Wednesday morning--the 12th (in the 8 o'clock hour).

I still don't know what I'm going to cook.

I think I know what I'm going to wear, but I change my mind from one minute to the next.
(they don't want you to wear white, black, patterns, or anything with a logo. that's kind of most of my wardrobe...)

oh. and there's this:

I hate flying.

HATE flying.

so my mom is going to come along.
to hold my hand.

I've been thinking a lot about this year's New Year's Resolution, and have finally figured out what I want to do. One of the best things about this whole blogging thing is meeting people from all over the country (and world). I've recently figured out how to tape both sides of a Skype phonecall and thought it would be fun to have a WebTV section for interviews with blogging pioneers, entreprenuers, rockstars, and (personal) idols.

I am thinking of two different focuses right now:
Real Moms Making Real Money At Home, (in Their Pajamas), And How You Can Too

and Gluten Free TV

I've already completed one of the interviews, with Kim Demmon, from Today's Creative Blog, but haven't been able to figure out how to compress the video file for uploading.

Here are the interviewees I've already lined up:
(not in order. just how my brain spit them out)

Alisa Fleming, Go Dairy Free (benefits of self-publishing vs. traditional publishing)
Ann-Marie Nichols, This Mama Cooks (internet entrepreneurism)
Jessica, Very Baby (online marketplace)
Jennette Fulda (entrepreneurism, web design, New! book, Chocolate & Vicodin)
Jessica Gottleib (mommy blogging,  internet interaction)

I'm hoping to get everything working by the end of the month and be able to share a new video interview each week throughout the year (fingers crossed).

I'm giving away TWO BlackBerry Style phones over on Totally Together Reviews.

Have a fantastic week! I'll see you when I get back from New York (I might take a nap first).

What they say about this article

  1. Shadley1/09/2011

SO excited to see you on GMA!!!!!!

  2. Geemonee you are one busy and successful lady! What fun for you, I mean seriously. I know it's likely stressful and an I-may-just-pee-my-pants moment for you, but how cool, really!!

Ok my verdict on the applesauce chicken: it was ok. Nothing too fantabulous. Your recipe called for 5-7 hours on low I think, and we were at church so I set mine to 6 hours. It came out a little dry and a tad bland. Specially added to the rice. I think I'm more of a creamy-rice-and-chicken kinda gal, but this was not bad. It just did not make it to my all time favorites list. Hope you don't mind. But yay me for trying something new in a machine that intimidates the crock out of me. (See what I did there? Heh...)

  3. How exciting! Setting my DVR now!

  4. You'll be great - just like last time when you were oh so pregnant! Good luck.

  5. Looking forward to the interviews! All the guests you have lined up are excellent.

  6. Can't wait to see you on TV! I feel your pain about flying....I have flown one time, and wasn't that crazy about it either......have fun on the show!

  7. suzanne1/10/2011

  9. Woooohoo! Good for you!! You are going to do just great!!! I'll be tuning in!!

    Good Luck!

  10. I'll be watching.... hopefully! The weather forecast for the NY area is not looking good for Wednesday, so along with best wishes for a successful presentation I'm also sending up a word or two to the weather fairy to be nice!!! ;-)

  11. Congrats to you! I will set my DVR to record GMA! =)

Can't wait to see the new videos. How fun! The gluten free ones sound great!! I'm so new to that area and need all the help, advice, cooking tips, etc that I can get!

Oh, and I HATE to fly too! Actually I have NEVER in my 41 years flown anywhere....ever! So you might wonder how I know that I hate to fly if I've never done it...well I don't know how I know, but I just DO and I'm here to tell ya I HATE to fly or maybe I HATE the thought of flying! Glad your mom is going with you to hold your hand...=) I would need a lot of hand holding for sure and possibly medication!

  12. Anonymous1/10/2011

LOL I hate flying also! I went on one trip about 25 yrs. ago and it was a disaster getting there & returning home. I vowed never again. So far so good.

  13. Totally exciting...I will be watching...

  14. Good luck on the show! I'll tape it for sure. Here's my all-time favourite slow cooker recipe that you may want to try.

  15. Hoping I can catch the show on Wedensday. I love, love, love the idea of gluten free tv. Please keep us posted.

I can't wait to see you.

  19. Congratulations on the GMA appearance, and the new book, which I saw at Barnes and Noble and LOVED. Very exciting times for you!

Really like the idea of WebTV to learn more about blogging as business.

  20. OH NO! I just got my first Crock Pot for Christmas, in good part to you, and it's already 5 am eastern, so I am very sadly in NO way going to be up when you are on.
I want to thank you for your blog and your books, and I hope your flights weren't that bad, and you have a great time!

  21. I just watched you and you did GREAT! I am glad to put a face to all if these great meals and articles.

  22. Anonymous1/12/2011

Stephanie, you were so good this morning. Your quick wit and adorable, bubbly personality came through my TV and right into my living room. Can't wait to see your gluten-free interviews. That is an excellent line-up of some wonderful people I know and love.

  29. I was just introduced to your blog a few weeks ago and due to some recent snow days, I've already made four of your recipes! I love using my Crockpot and I'm so glad you introduced me to a whole world of possibilities for it! I just watched you on GMA online and you did great! I'd really like to give the vegan chili a try. Thank you so much for your hard work!!

  30. Anonymous1/13/2011

You did awesome! Can't wait to try the chili recipes. I hate flying too but I have a little friend called Zanax (I think) that helps me out. You should try it. Congratulations on all your success!

  31. Wanted you to know that I watched you yesterday and you did a wonderful job.
I am a friend of Headless Mom.

  32. Awesome - just watched the segment on GMA's website. I bought your new book too -- so thanks for the notice when it was a steal from B&N.

Best part of the segment? Geroge Suffalupagus got your name right!!!!

  33. Unfortunately I missed the GMA segment, but I really love your's inspired me to haul out my crockpot more often.

  34. Well rats! I am just catching up on my blog reading and found your announcement about being on Good Morning America but too late. I'll look around on YouTube, etc. to see if I can find it. This will teach me to stay more current on my reading.

  35. I didn't get a chance to watch, but I heard raves about your appearance. I got the first book for Christmas, and have it filled with bookmarks to try. :)

  36. Whoot the interview sounds fun! Congrats on your GMA appearance...can't wait to see it. You're going to be great!

  37. Anonymous1/18/2011

Congrats on your appearance. If you have room on your Gluten Free project, you should contact my friend, Simla. She has a virtual nutrition consulting practice and gluten free is a big part of it.

Thanks! PS - I LOVE your site!!

  38. Hannah1/21/2011

I missed it but as soon as I'm on a computer with sound I will watch the clip!

PS I HATE flying too. Probably as much as you do!

  39. Hi Stephanie! I don't often comment but I've been reading your blog since the beginning of your challenge........way back when! LOL!

I was visiting my family in America when you posted that you were going to be on GMA again. I made my entire family watch GMA for over an hour while I waited for you to come on, because I didn't want to miss it. Hehehe!

It was great to see your broadcast live! My Mom loved the white chilli that you did as she can't have tomato (so she forgave me for hogging the TV!) ;o)

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed finally seeing you after reading you for so many years. Thanks for all the great inspiration!

  40. Hi DeeDee, wow, thank you so much to you and your mom! :-)
I had a lot of fun on the show---it was a whirlwind trip. thank you for being so wonderful. xoxo

  41. Thanks for posting the video interview of us on your Web TV link about my new book Toss, Keep, Sell! I will also have that interview up on my blog on Thursday! Thanks again.
