I'm home! PowerAde Play Review! Puffy Pizza Casserole on the Way!

It's 6:57 am, and I need to admit that I'm really, really tired.

We spent the last 5 days in Disneyland, where I participated in the California Adventure's Food and Wine Festival.
I don't think I could have possibly had any more fun---it was wonderful. I love Disney and all things Disney, and to pair Disney with food and wine? OH MY!

but I'm a wee bit tired.

It's a good thing I've got a bunch of PowerAde Play in the fridge. What's PowerAde Play, you might ask?

It's a brand new sports drink for children, and while I am usually *not* a fan of sugary colored drinks for children, or for anyone, really, I liked this stuff.

I really did.

I'm not even lying.

This has no high fructose corn syrup, and is much lower in calories than the competition.

I've got a fantastic Pizza Casserole I'm dying to share. Lemme get some (strong) coffee and start the laundry, and I'll type it right up.

You went to the Food and Wine festival and all you wrote was a thinly veiled ad for Powerade?

    ugh.

  2. LOL, I didn't think it was thinly veiled at all!

    :-)

The festival was wonderful. I can't write too awful much about that, either, though, because it was a free trip.

    Email me for details!

  3. I love going to Disneyland during the Food and Wine Festival. We didn't make it this year (were there a week too early) but in the past we've always had good luck finding gluten-free options beyond what is available in the restaurants (which is actually quite a bit, if you get a gluten-free menu from the Disneyland City Hall.)

Since my mom passed away in 2008, I've begun a new tradition to go to Disney every Mom's Day (and because I'm Disney obsessed!), so when I learned that you were demoing there I was super excited and the hubby treated us to a whole weekend @ the resort. It was lovely meeting you! Best wishes to you and your family, and keep those recipes a comin'! ;D

  5. Hi Katie,

I absolutely *love* what Disney has done to make dining inclusive to those with allergies.
The GF Pizza was excellent----much better than anything I could roll out myself, and actually the dough tasted better than the regular. We had tapioca buns for hot dogs and hamburgers, and were fortunate enough to dine at Blue Bayou where the chef came out to make sure everything was perfect and safe.
    It was!

    Janine,
It was so lovely meeting you, and thank you so much for taking the time to come to the demo and stay for the signing. I love your tradition---what a great hubby.

    xoxo steph

Hi Stephanie. It was so nice to meet you at CA Adventure. You are just as fun in person as you seem on the blog. You seemed so relaxed on stage, as if you'd been doing this your whole life :) I'm loving the cook book, and looking forward to trying lots of yummy things. Thank you
    ~Annie~

It was really great seeing your demonstration at California Adventure! You have inspired me to cook! My first attempt at slow cooking will be your recipe for barbequed shrimp!
