We've got a new baby!

Our newest little one arrived safe and sound on the 6th. We're all home, and doing quite well.

Labor and delivery was easy, although it felt as if I had been in labor for weeks and weeks. I think she may have been taking the term "slow cooking" a bit too seriously. :-)

I've promised Adam not to share personal details with the Internet, so that's pretty much all the information I'm going to let out----thank you for your understanding, love, and support.

back on Monday with a new recipe!

(I think.)

xoxo steph

Congrats to all. I've enjoyed the blog, and we've just upgraded our slow-cooker to a 6-quart model (seems huge!) from our little 1.5 quart one in anticipation of our first baby who's supposed to be arriving in the next few weeks. We've been putting the new cooker through it's paces while we prepare several vegetarian dishes that we can freeze in anticipation of not having a lot of energy for cooking or food shopping once are new arrival arrives.

Congratulations on the new baby!! Take as long as you need....even with the third, it takes a while to adjust to one more little person in the house, and getting out of the house on time will take a lot of practice!!

Enjoy every minute with your little one, and stroke that baby every minute you can....you'll have a kinder, more empathetic child from touching them so much!!

Take care of YOU....make sure you have a chance for a hot soak in the tum every night, a nap when yhou need it, and time out alone, even to just go to a coffee shop and read a book for a while!!

I also learned a "trick" with the third baby...to switch the schedule! In stead of eat, sleep, play, eat, sleep, play, etc. I switched it to play, sleep, eat, putting the baby down into the crib fully awake, and let her put herself to sleep every night and every nap. She was sleeping through the night within three weeks, and we all felt much more rested with that baby! Good luck! I'm so proud of you and all that you do so well!
